Fuengirola’s stunning beaches have again earned the prestigious Blue Flag for the fifth consecutive year, solidifying its reputation as one of Spain’s finest coastal destinations.

The Blue Flag symbolises excellence, recognising beaches that meet high standards in safety, cleanliness, accessibility, and water quality. Alongside this esteemed award, Fuengirola’s beaches have also received the Q certificate for tourism quality, accolades for universal accessibility, and the Ecoplaya flag, highlighting the town’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

Local councillor José Sánchez said "These awards reflect the continuous efforts by the town hall to enhance our beaches, providing top-quality services, prioritising environmental care, and improving accessibility for all visitors." He also highlighted the enhanced security measures, with Fuengirola offering a unique surveillance service with beach police during the bathing season, alongside a dedicated team of 14 lifeguards ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
