### Málaga: Spain’s New Hotspot for Luxury Property

Rising demand for high-end homes and record-breaking new developments are transforming Málaga into Spain’s luxury real estate capital.

Málaga now leads the country in premium property sales, with 30% of all Spanish homes priced over €2.5 million found here. This puts the city ahead of renowned destinations like Mallorca, Madrid and Barcelona. According to a recent report, the luxury segment now makes up 10% of Málaga’s real estate market, featuring prestigious developments such as [Térmica Beach](https://callowestates.com/property/termica-beach) and [Sierra Blanca Towers](https://callowestates.com/property/sierra-blanca-tower).

A key factor is the city’s growing international appeal. Foreign buyers account for 32.35% of all property transactions in Málaga - one of the highest rates in Spain. European and North [American buyers](https://callowestates.com/news/why-americans-are-moving-to-costa-del-sol), in particular, are drawn to the city’s unbeatable lifestyle and luxury living options.

Despite leading the luxury segment, Málaga ranks fifth nationwide in total property transactions. However, when it comes to new-build sales, Málaga shines in third place with a huge 63.2% increase year-on-year.

With strong demand, international appeal, and [luxury developments](https://callowestates.com/new-developments-costa-del-sol?category=Luxury#results) on the rise, Málaga is cementing itself as the ultimate destination for high-end property investment in Spain.
