Spanish tennis star, Rafa Nadal has embarked on an exciting new business venture with hotel magnate Abel Matutes. Together, they are set to develop a series of branded luxury apartment complexes on the Costa del Sol.
Operating under their newly established company, Palya Invest, the duo has committed over 200 million euros to construct a hundred upscale villas and apartments in the Estepona and Marbella regions, all under their new luxury brand.
Nadal and Matutes: Exploring New Opportunities in Costa del Sol
Palya Invest evolved from Mabel Capital, a firm they previously co-owned with a third partner, Manuel Campos. After parting ways with Campos, Nadal and Matutes retained the property segment and other business interests, such as the event production company Komodo. Despite the split, these Mallorcan partners are actively pursuing new profitable ventures together.
Their latest project targets the Costa del Sol property market, where they are planning to develop 50 properties along Estepona's beachfront and another 40 in Marbella's Nagüeles area. Construction is slated to commence in the coming months, with an anticipated completion date in 2028. Matutes brings valuable expertise to the table, given his company's successful promotion of branded residences in collaboration with luxury names like Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, and Karl Lagerfeld.
