The highly anticipated Marbella Half Marathon is just around the corner, and registration slots are quickly filling up. This event is a highlight on the Costa del Sol's running calendar, drawing participants from across the world.
The race will kick off on Sunday, 29 September, offering runners the chance to challenge their skills against top competitors or simply enjoy the accomplishment of completing the course along Marbella's breathtaking coastline. With its flat, picturesque route, the Half Marathon is not just a test of stamina but also an extraordinary experience amidst luxury and natural splendour.
The marathon includes various categories to accommodate different levels of runners: The main 21k race, featuring the most competitive athletes, starts at 9 am. Simultaneously, wheelchair racers will embark on a 3×7 relay, with teams of three covering 7km each. At 9:05 am, the 5km charity fun run will commence.
The race begins at Marbella’s iconic Welcome Arch on Road 340, weaving through the city's core, along the promenade, past the Bellamar Urbanisation and Marbella Country Club, Rio Verde Beach, Rio Verde Bridge, Avenida Julio Iglesias, Calle Riviera, Puerto José Banús Port, Playa Nueva Andalucía, Alfonso Cañas Noguera Promenade, and back to the promenade offering stunning views of the port.
Open to all runners born in 2006 or earlier who are 18 or older on race day, the Marbella Half Marathon requires correct registration and adherence to the event's regulations.
