Proposed Skyscraper Hotel In Malaga Port

The Chipperfield Tower, a proposed 144-metre hotel by the Qatari royal family’s Hesperia Group, will be built in Málaga Port and is expected to be completed within the next ten years.

The tower’s design features a convention centre and between 350 and 390 rooms, forming part of a five-star Grand Luxury hotel. With an investment exceeding €120 million, the final design is set for delivery in March. This new landmark will redefine the city’s skyline and strengthen Málaga’s position on the global stage, attracting high-net-worth individuals from Europe, the United States, and Asia.

Although the project is progressing, the necessary licences are still awaiting full approval. Andalusian Hospitality II has until early March to submit all required documents, after which port technicians will have a month to assess the proposal before it is sent to State Ports for final approval. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.
